Turn PDFs into editable Markdown in your browser

pdftomd.tools is a free online PDF to Markdown converter that runs entirely in your browser using Mozilla's pdf.js, so files never leave your device.

Drop a text-based PDF, preview the Markdown, then copy or download a .md file. It keeps headings, paragraphs, lists, simple tables, and monospace text as code blocks.

Limits: text PDFs only (no OCR). Bold/italic and figures are not exported yet.
